Striving to be the best run city in the U.S. means taking care of your employees. Taking care of your employees means paying attention to the little things. The City of Phoenix sought to simplify their employees’ experience when signing up for the City’s HR benefits program. In response, Rhino designed and developed a set of integrated planning tools and easy-to-use interactive worksheets that gave employees the ability to self-determine what plan best fit their needs. Employees were able to generate different scenarios based on their personal set of criteria and weigh the pros and cons of each benefits program against their own unique requirements. By adding personal value and meaning to an otherwise routine enrollment program, the City was able to reinforce its commitment to providing quality care for its employees and improve the speed of the enrollment process. How we find our news is evolving as quickly as how we define what "news" actually is. Producers and viewers of online video have grown exponentially, leaving users with more "news" than they can possibly consume.
The team of traditional news, broadcast, and web journalists at MagicDust Television are solving this problem. As a complement to the syndicated weekday television show RightThisMinute, each day their team of e-journalists scour the web to find the most interesting stories percolating on the web. Beyond simple videos, they uncover the story behind the story and connect their viewers to information that both inspires and informs.
To support the show, Magic Dust needed a fully integrated online video system for their producers to manage the online production of their video story inventory and a consumer-facing delivery vehicle that compelled users to view, share, and engage as part of the RightThisMinute community of users and content-providers.
